Geographic number lookup not working.

It has come to our attention via this Whirlpool thread Voxalot Geo num lookup against e164.org - Voice over IP - Whirlpool Broadband Forums that Geographic Number Lookup is no longer working. No idea whether this is a Voxalot problem or whether something has changed at e164.org.

I know evilbunny has been upgrading the site so something may have broken Voxalot's lookup of the e164 database.

Is it that it is not working, or it is not matching....

I remember reading a post by evilbunny that he was asked to remove the list of UK premium numbers....but that he encouraged users to re-add them on an as you go basis

removal of UK numbers

Could that have to do with anything

When I enter 1300654321 (Bigsky Credit Union), for example, on the geographic number search page on e164.org (Non-Geographical Search), the number correctly translates into 61386352880.

However, if I type 1300654321 into the Smart Call test box, it fails to look up the database and instead says: A call to:1300654321 will get forwarded to 1300654321 via Koalavoip.

In the past, this has always worked perfectly, so something has definitely broken as others have reported.

Would one of the Voxalot staff please comment on why this is not working anymore? Is it going to be permanently broken or is someone working on the problem?

Thanks

Mark

edit: evilbunny has responded in the Whirlpool thread and is checking things out at the moment.

This should be fixed now, in future if there is a major problem drop me an email as I find out sooner that way, it looks like the problem was known about for about 6 days before someone sent me a message about it.
