What codec for au & eu servers

Hi there,

Do the au & eu servers also use 711u like the US, or should I set my ATA to 711a or doesn't it matter?

Thankyou
hkp:confused:

All VoXalot servers have support for both 711u and 711a as well as G729 etc. ...

The important part is when adding third party providers to VoXalot...to specify the codecs that the third party provider likely has support for...

Hi there,

My VSP (Orbtalk) say they use g711u but I see in the list of codecs shown for my account in Voxalot it shows "g729;g723;g726;ilbc;gsm;ulaw;alaw"

It doesn't specifically show g711u as an option?
Could this be why my DID isn't working with their new SIP server in that they need to see g711u written in full?

I just tried to add 711 to the front of the codec string & I got this error:

"Invalid Codecs. Please use combination of g729 g726 g723 ilbc gsm ulaw or alaw separated by semi-colons."

Thankyou
hkp

Try this:

ulaw;alaw;g726;g729;ilbc;gsm

For the record:
ulaw = g711u
alaw= g711a

BTW, what are the new orbtalk servers ... I have two DIDs with them using talk.orbtalk.co.uk and port 5060 that seem to be working just fine ...
