recursive(?) calling plan
 

Hi, is there a way of doing a recursive calling plan?

I would like to something reformat all _+. _011. into 00XXXX...

And then with all numbers nicely formatted start branching out
into different country-plans, possibly making the local.

Is this already being done by voxalot? Is this what the geo-lookup is for?

Otherwise, it would be great to have a meta-provider to reinject the modified
number into the dialplan again... Smart Call with funny characters in the start and end is a great name in case you need suggestions:)

Well, you could set up a second VoXaLot account, have the first VoXaLot account format the numbers nicely and then make the call via the second VoXaLot account.

In the second VoXaLot account, have your dial plan that processes the pre-processed numbers.

The only problem is that I've found that you can't add VoXaLot as one of your providers in VoXaLot - you get an error message:

au.voxalot.com already exists

A way around this is to use pbxes.org in between the two VoXaLot accounts. You have pbxes.org pass the number on, unmodified, to VoXaLot using your second account, and you have your VoXaLot number one account send the pre-processed number out via pbxes.org.

So the call goes like this:

SIP Phone -> VoXaLot#1 -> pbxes.org -> VoXaLot#2 -> destination


However, considering the complexity of that, I think you'd be better off persevering with designing your VoXaLot dial plans, remembering that you can have an unlimited number of dial plan rules.
