Outbound Call Problem with New Filmware
Outbound calls are only one-way audio. Direct calls through my VSP are ok.
I think this started after I upgraded my SPA3000 to filmware ver. 3.1.18. Any ideas? |
It's working now. Weird...

Maybe your ATA is configured to send it's LAN IP address in the 'Connection Information' line of the SIP SDP packet. To test, place *0@proxy01.sipphone.com into one of the speed dial slots and call that SIP address. You will hear one of two recorded messages:
"You are behind a SIP compatible router." means your ATA is giving your public IP address in 'Connection Information' line. This is good. "You may experience call completion problems." means your ATA is giving it's LAN IP address in 'Connection Information' line. This is bad. If the SIP device on the other end is not very smart it may try to route the voice packets to the LAN IP which your ATA gave it. When that happens the other party's audio will not reach you because LAN IP addresses cannot be routed on the Internet. |
I attempted a couple of web call back calls yesterday. The other phone was answered but I could not hear anything. May be this was the same as your experience.

Yup, that's it. I called my cell phone which rang fine except there was no audio.
It's working fine now. |
Definitely there is problem, outbound call not working and if it is connected it is one way. Inbound calls too, and same issue one way audio.
