Add country code for 883 (for inum)

:D

yes, for whatever reason, I'd like to make an enum for my inum ...

noticing currently possible to select country code 878 ("ITU Enum only range") in the "Telephone Number Registration" page at https://www.e164.org/pstnadd.php ... would be nice to have this work for 883 - so one could then register an inum.

ok, so ... why would one want to do this ...?

seems like it would make it easier to reach a (registered) inum via SipBroker. And SipBroker works with more peers than inum - so I look to it as the "most open" SIP internetwork facilitator.

I wonder if this would be possible (and in fact desirable!) to implement?

883

Hello,
Interesting post. I would also be interested in knowing whether we can use inum by adding the 6-digit membership number to + 883150 004 xxx xxx.
Have you found out whether this works? Thanks.

Yes, interesting... I've been trying to add my iNum number (883 510004 xxxxxx) to my enum numbers. It says "Call queued for calling" but I never get the call. After a couple of days, I get an email saying "The number +883 510004 xxxxxx has been deleted from the E164.org verification queue due to inactivity."

A few days ago, I sent an email to support@e164.org describing the problem, but haven't had a reply yet. I can only speculate that their equipment is not set up to dial iNum numbers.

Has anyone successfully added their iNum number to e164.org?

I would also like to know the correct way of adding the number. The normal way is to enter the country code, then area code and local phone number. With an iNum number this doesn't make much sense. The country code is easy. That would be International Networks (883). Then, do we leave the area code field blank and put 510004xxxxxx in the local number field?

Same here. No luck. Call is just queued for verification but verification didn't arrive yet even after 3 days. Let us see what happens next.

Probably nothing will happen. It's obvious that Duane is no longer checking this forum nor the support email address so we may be waiting for a very long time.

There is no meaning to add an iNum in enum rout as iNum is actually like our voxalot numbers with some prefix in the beginning. And iNum works from most of the Betamax's services and many other VOIPs. While ENUM lookup is also free service from the VOIPs (not from the traditional phones) So, it is useless to eat something not directly to your mouth and instead behind the neck!
